Hello from Sarah and introducing DIY Christmas Wreaths to bring cheer to your door……..

I love creating fresh wreaths; not just at Christmas, but all year round. Surely every door should look fabulous?

Well here goes, my first blog - how are you all doing?

Those of you who know me know I like to chat. But as the business grows online I thought it would be good to share a blog or two about my relationship with flowers, my love for cake, a gin and, well anything else that helps my clients get to know how I tick (but not Tik Tok - no, I’m not planning to go there, well not yet anyway!)

So, what are my blogs going to be about? Well, I love working with flowers, particularly faux ones. For almost 20 years, I’ve sourced the most realistic faux flowers, greenery and plants from all over the world. I love what I do and hope to share that passion with you, together with a few home decor tips I’ve picked up along the way. Is that something you might like to hear about? I might also share a cake recipe (I love baking) and perhaps recommend a cocktail or two. I think we need these small treats now more than ever, don’t you?

But first, here’s a bit about me, and I’m sure there’ll be more to come so brace yourself! I’m in the prime of my life (that’s what I’m telling myself), originally from Derby and now living in St Albans, Hertfordshire with two man children (both in their twenties) and my husband John (third man child). Warning:- I swear a fair bit thanks to the man children.

Until lockdown hit, most of my work was face to face at events and via cake-infused coffee mornings at home. But changing times and growing demand has meant that this year I’ve enhanced my business to sell via my website, which is updated weekly with new arrivals. This year lots of us are bringing Christmas into our homes early. Decorations that brighten your living space and that cheer up the neighbours can never be a bad thing! So, for the upcoming festive season I’ve designed a DIY Deluxe Wreath kit for you to create at home, or in your own social bubble. Do have a browse and see what you think? I make a good many wreaths for clients each year and honestly they are such fun to do. And once hung up you can admire your wreath for weeks. I would love you to share your photos with me once yours is adorning your front door!

Lockdown II seems much harder, the days are shorter, and its dark so much of the day, I really hope that my website will offer some seasonal cheer during these difficult days.
